Declaration of accessibility

Schulmeister Management Consulting GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "Schulmeister") aims to make its website accessible in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Status of compatibility with the requirements for accessible information technology

This accessibility statement applies to Schulmeister's internet presence consisting of the managed and administered websites www.schulmeister-consulting.com and www.schulmeister-consulting.de and their associated interfaces.

It is based on the requirements of the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) and the WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). Based on the following explanations, the websites are partially compatible with conformity level AA of the "Guidelines for accessible web content WCAG 2.2". Due to the high number of pages and the number of interfaces, the existing pages will be successively adapted to the accessibility standards, taking into account the principle of proportionality. The legal requirements recognise immediate implementation as potentially disproportionate for existing projects. We therefore envisage a staggered implementation within a reasonable timeframe.

Type of inspection

Methodology of the examination: Self-assessment

To assess accessibility, individual pages of the website are analysed at irregular intervals as part of internal testing procedures. As only certain pages are examined, it is not possible to make a comprehensive statement about the accessibility of the entire website unless each individual subpage is analysed separately - which would involve considerable effort for very extensive websites and would hardly be feasible in practice. Instead, the broadest possible selection of pages is analysed, showing different content and structures and thus giving a representative impression. This method allows a realistic assessment of the general accessibility of the site.

With regard to external content, such as embedded PPT, PDF and Word files, as well as Office documents or embedded videos from platforms such as YouTube or data from external sources, compliance with accessibility standards cannot be consistently ensured.

Content from third parties, such as studies or presentation materials from external speakers that are not under the control of the Federal Ministry, are excluded from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.

Perceptibility of content

It is important to us that all users can access the relevant website content for applications and job searches. That is why we are constantly working on providing text alternatives for all newly added images and videos. We strive to ensure sufficient colour contrasts to improve readability.

Our current application form uses a captcha to prevent spam. We have decided to retain the captcha in the application form for the time being, as we offer two other methods of application that are accessible without barriers. Accessible methods for applying on our websites are applying via email and applying via the speculative application form. We are of the opinion that these alternatives are sufficient and that changing the application form with regard to the captcha would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.

Usability of the website

The layout of the websites adapts responsively to the screen of the end device (e.g. PC, notebook, tablet or smartphone) and thus offers increased accessibility. In order to be usable for all users, we ensure that all functions are also accessible via the keyboard. This includes navigation on the websites and the use of all interactive elements. Availability for screen readers is part of the revision in line with accessibility standards. Our forms are clearly structured and easy to understand.

Comprehensibility of the content

Our websites are generally written in clear and simple language in order to be accessible to all users. We use headings, paragraphs and lists to structure the text and increase readability. We also make sure that users can predict what will happen when they click on links or buttons. It should be noted that, as a specialised recruitment consultant, we use technical jargon in our specialist articles on the blog when necessary.

Robustness of the website

We use current web standards and regularly validate our HTML codes. This ensures that our websites remain accessible in the future. We test our websites with various screen readers and browsers to ensure compatibility.
