Running together through Vienna by night
Running, cheering each other on and crossing the finish line together: Schulmeister once again took part in the Vienna Night Run 2026 with a team of 11 runners.
The course led through Vienna’s city centre and offered a very special atmosphere. Illuminated streets, thousands of participants and spectators along the route created a memorable setting for the evening.
For our team, however, the event was about much more than sporting performance. It was an opportunity to be active together, motivate one another and spend time as a team outside the usual working environment.
“Even today, the focus is not on chasing minutes and seconds, but on enjoying sport together against the beautiful night-time backdrop of Vienna’s magnificent Ringstrasse.”

Team spirit at the anniversary run
One particularly special moment for our Vienna team: one of the most beautiful sections of the course led directly past our Vienna office at Haus am Schottentor.
That made the Vienna Night Run feel almost like a home race for the Schulmeister team – after all, the route passed directly by our everyday working environment and offered the chance to experience Vienna from a completely different perspective.
Anniversary run: 20th Vienna Night Run
Schulmeister is not the only one celebrating an anniversary this year: the Vienna Night Run also marked its 20th edition in 2026. Around 23,000 participants took part in the anniversary run, setting a new participation record.
The event once again placed a strong focus on climate protection. For every participant, a mangrove tree is planted in Myanmar together with blue life.
11 runners. 5 km. 1 team.
Running is simply better together. Whether aiming for a personal best, reaching an individual goal or simply enjoying the experience as a team, what matters most in the end is motivation, team spirit and having fun along the way.

Endurance, focus and team spirit – on the course and in recruiting
Taking part in the Erste Bank Vienna Night Run means more to Schulmeister than simply joining a sporting event.
Many of the qualities that matter in running also play an important role in recruitment:
- Endurance: Whether on the running course or in recruiting, perseverance is often needed before the goal is reached.
- Focus: Keeping the goal in sight helps you stay on track even when the journey becomes more challenging.
- Team spirit: Mutual support, motivation and collaboration make a difference – both during a run and in everyday working life.
Whether running through Vienna’s city centre or working on a recruiting assignment: with endurance, focus and a strong team, progress is made step by step.
We would like to thank all colleagues who ran, cheered and supported our team at the Vienna Night Run 2026 – and we are already looking forward to the next team events at Schulmeister.
